 The Story behind the
Mother, the Father and their ten kids

The
Cagle Family idea and concept started when Teresita and I, Monte
met in 1973 in the island of Puerto Rico while working as missionary
volunteers. Working to help children, young people in school
projects, orphanages, prisons, youth and drug rehabilitation centers
throughout the Caribbean we started singing and performing together part
time as a duo to help support our volunteer work. We did our first
real show in Aruba a small Dutch island in the Caribbean where we got
married while on furlough from our mission . Our performances were very
successful and we continued to sing together in restaurants,
clubs, and hotels for many years. As the children came, we found that
our kids had performing talents and we would occasionally let our oldest
kids sing a song or two for friends or tourists around the pool at some
of the resorts Melody and Iwould work. We imagined our Family singing
together some day as a band like The Jackson Family.
In this
musical environment, the Cagle kids learned to sing and groove at an
early age and became quit talented.
While traveling and performing in Europe, we discovered we could
also street perform together as a family and continue to share our
message of hope and love with other through music.
We developed into a full band and started to perform
on TV, Radio shows and screen performances as a family. Today we
have grown into The Cagle Family show troupe. All members sing,
dance, and play musical instruments. With guitars, bass, drums,
keyboard, and percussion instruments. We play a mixture of
contemporary Pop, Latin, R&B, Reggae, Gospel and Hip Hop with a
captivating narrative style. The Cagle Family have made many TV
appearances around the world, airing on VH1's "Behind the Music,"
featuring the entire family of 12. We have traveled to many
different countries of the world in our volunteer efforts to make
the world a better place by inspiring families and people everywhere
through positive music. Our passion is to share a message of
God’s love and hope with the world through song.
